Identifying sub-optimized queries, checking parameters
PRESS & MEDIA
April 2021 – June 2021 (2 months)
France, France

The client’s initial context/problem :

  • PostgreSQL instance CPU load sometimes reached 100% CPU.
  • To overcome these peaks, the customer had to continually increase the size of the machine.
  • The client wanted query optimization to slow down the inevitable progression towards ever more expensive configurations.

Based on a thorough audit and information provided by the client, Sam and Craig were able to identify and correct dysfunctions, and help Zerosix improve its methods of writing SQL code. The Zerosix team was thus able to refine the performance of its production environment without adding ever more resources. Applying the advice provided by Sam and Craig made the client’s environment more adaptable to peak usage and less resource intensive.

Actions carried out by CCS

  1. SQL Query Optimization
  2. Reconfiguring the PostgreSQL instance
  3. Implementation of SQL guidelines
